Unfiltered: A Round-Up of My Amazon Product Reviews

I love Amazon! I love being able to buy just about anything and almost all of them delivered in a couple days, overnight, or even the day I order!

It can be a bit overwhelming at times though. You type a description in the search bar, use the filters, and still get things that are not relevant. An example of this is when I was searching for a coffee table. I entered 64” length in the search bar and saw maybe one that size. Maybe. The rest were not even close to 64”. They should have a message that pops up saying they couldn’t find the item.

Then, when things do show up that fit the description, there can be a gazillion to scroll through! Reading reviews of items is important, but sometimes there are just too many.

So, I start with the AI generated summary just above the reviews. This can give you good insite.

Then I read some of the 4-5 star reviews and maybe a couple 3 and lower. If the majority are really good reviews, an average a little over 4 start and higher, I am usually willing to take a chance. There are always going to be people who are not happy with their purchases, for whatever reason.

Sometimes around the area where you add the item to your list, there will be a note saying "this is a frequently returned item." That is a flag so the above steps are very helpful.

I follow some influencers on Amazon and that has helped narrow down options. I still look at the star rating and read reviews, but searching their recommendations helps narrow down the list. It can also give ideas on things I hadn't thougth about.

GE LED+ Backup Battery LED Light Bulbs

These rechargeable light bulbs are a great idea! I keep them in the lamps on the console table in my living room. These came in really handy when we lost power during the last hurricane! It was nice not to be sitting in the dark.

These light bulbs need to be plugged in to be charged, which is why I use them in the console table lamps. They are not bright when running on the battery, but they do provide light. What a cool idea!

Shur-Line 20061 Paint Pro Edger

This is a cool little tool you use to paint by the crown molding, baseboards, and edges. I used it once so far. I think it will be a handy tool that will save from having to put up and remove tape. That is so time consuming!

I struggled with the Paint Pro Edger a little, but I think with some practice, it will work out and be a time saver. I will update this post later if it doesn’t.

OXO Good Grips Extendable Tub & Tile Brush

This seemed like a great idea. I could scrub the tub and tile really good without ending up with an aching back. However, the brush doesn’t stay in place. It moves as you use it, so I was constantly having to reposition the way I was scrubbing.

I do not see a place on it to lock the brush in place. It has great reviews, so I guess that isn't an issue for everyone. I would have returned it, but I waited a while before I opened the package and used it. I do that sometimes. Needless to say, I do not recommend this product.

Bellsal Silverware Organizer

I love this! I needed a new silverware organizer. I know I could get a plastic one for less, but I wanted a nice organizer.

Years ago, I purchased a silverware set that came with a sturdy wooden organizer. I used it long after the silverware was gone. I needed a new one because the paint was chipping off and I didn’t want to repaint it.

This organizer is bamboo, so there won't be any paint chipping issues. I have recommended this to a couple friends who mentioned they needed one.

Jofran Stately Home 60” Console Table in Antique Mahogany

This is a really pretty table! It's sturdy and the drawers function nicely. I feel it was a good price and am very happy with this purchase! It looks more expensive than it was too!

Nutribullet Personal Blender

I love this! I bought one for my daughter when she moved out and she loved it. My blender stopped working recently, so I decided to get one for myself. It blends good and I think it's faster then the traditional blender. The cup is 24 ounce so it makes a good amount. It is a little loud, but that doesn't bother me because it blends pretty fast. I definitely recommend the Nutribullet!

There you have it! Six things I bought from Amazon and my honest reviews. I could make a list of hundreds, if not thousands, of things I’ve purchased from Amazon, but I don’t think anyone wants to read all of that. At least not in one post. I hope this list is helpful!
